Magnetic drum separator - BS series
The ferro-magnetic materials can be redeemed from the dry ores with the help of Metso's LIMS belt drum, low intensity magnetic separators. The separators are mad eup of robust open frame designs along with magnetic drum assemblies used in 3 types of designs in order to meet various requirements.The LIMS belt drum dry separator can prove to be highly useful for iron ores with particles sizes up to 300 mm and are essential in pre-concentration stages.
The BSA-type consists of magnetic poles that are set in row which are parallel to the drum shaft and forces the magnetic material to rotate while passing over the drum. It results in the rejection of magnetic and weakly magnetic material. The BSA-type is the most preferred in separating particles up to 200 mm in size.
The BSS-type (disc-type) comprises of magnetic poles set up in sectors with fixed polarity in the direction of the drum rotation. This stops the particles from rotating while passing over the drum.
