Solder flux - Stainflux
The flux is applied to the root side before welding and provides protection from oxidation, which occurs during welding. StainFlux is intended for use in connection with the GTAW welding of low-alloy and stainless steel with a maximum nickel content of 25%. StainFlux should not be regarded as a substitute for protective gas but should instead be used when protective gas cannot be used.StainFlux root protector is delivered in powder form, and is then mixed with denatured ethanol before welding.
