Italargon Division is the manufacturer of this device, designing and building submerged arc welding heads, suitable for folded ribbon and wire applications, using constant voltage and constant current power generators. The welding heads of this item are suitable for ribbon widths between 30 and 60 mm, but also for 90 mm. The heads are specifically constructed for internal circumferential plating and for internal longitudinal welding as well, for tubes with a diameter of up to 180 mm.

The mobile rectifier GTH 522G delivers up to 500 A DC for submerged arc welding (SAW) with constant voltage characteristics. In connection with Kjellberg welding units of the KA series the entire welding process can be controlled directly and steplessly with the rectifier. The GTH 522G is therefore suitable for mechanized, semi-automated and automated welding in industry and craft.

The GTH 522G offers highest quality in performance and craftsmanship. The robust carriage and eye hooks allow the easy and flexible use of the rectifier. All connections except for the power cable are at the front panel. Three welding current plug-in connections for the material connection (choke) allow the individual adjustment to the welding behaviour.

The mobile rectifier GTH 802 delivers up to 800 A DC for submerged-arc welding (SAW) with constant voltage characteristics. In connection with the Kjellberg welding units of the KA series the nominal values can be steplessly adjusted and confirmed for the entire welding process. Voltage fluctuations of up to 10% can be compensated.
The standard equipment of the SAW power source includes an integrated power factor compensation for connection to 63 A mains sockets.

SA welding rectifier GTH 1002The rectifier GTH 1002 is a power source for submerged-arc welding (SAW). It delivers up to 1000 A DC with constant voltage characteristics. In connection with the welding automats of the KA series the entire welding process can be controlled via the stepless adjustment of fixed nominal values. Voltage fluctuations of max. 10% can be compensated. The GTH 1002 is the ideal power source for extremely long welds.

The robust SAW power source has been designed for mechanised, partly and fully automated welding in container construction, shipbuilding, bridge building and industrial assembly.

Four eye hooks allow the easy and location-independant use despite a weight of more than 400 kg. The dust-proof electronics and the standard contactless remote control make the SA welding process flexible. Further, two welding cable connections offer the opportunity to use one power source for two parallel steps.

The rectifier GTH 1402 delivers up to 1400 A DC with constant voltage characteristics as power source for submerged-arc welding (SAW). Combined with welding automats of the KA series, the welding process is controlled by stepless adjustment of preselected nominal values. Voltage fluctuations of up to 10% can be compensated. The GTH 1402 is a high-performance power source and thus especially suited for extremely long welds and large workpieces.

The GTH 1402 can be used as power source for mechanised, partly and fully automated welding under the toughest conditions in bridge building, shipbuilding, industrial assembly or tank facility and boiler construction.

The welding transformer W 1005 VC can be used as power source for submerged-arc tandem and multi-wire welding with a sinusoidal current of up to 1000 A AC. It is ideally suited for partly and fully automated welding processes in windmill tower construction, tank facility and container construction, shipbuilding, steelwork production, in bridge building and crane construction.

Welding voltage and welding current can be adjusted in a stepless manner. The W 1005 VC is characterised by reliable ignition behaviour and a stable arc. The noise level is low even under maximum load. It is possible to switch the characteristics (CV/CC) internally or externally via software. This as well as the entire welding process can be controlled either digitally or analogously.
