Articulated robot / painting - 15 m

Articulated robot / painting - 15 m
Gaiotto Automation For blades up to 15 metres long and low production volumes,it is advisable to carry out both spraying and polymerisation in the same area; this solution is more economical, consumes less energy and takes up less space.
Spraying of the gelcoat or painting product is performed by an anthropomorphous robot positioned on a slide that travels the entire length of the blade, thus ensuring it is coated completely.
The gelcoat is sprayed onto open moulds normally placed side by side. In painting, instead the blades are fxed to a rotation unit that makes it possible to expose both sides to the spraying unit.
During the subsequent polymerisation phase the robot is placed in a special adjoining non-heated compartment.
After spending a suitable amount of time in the polymerisation kiln the blade can be sent on to subsequent stages of production.
The resin, paint and catalyser tanks are positioned in the immediate vicinity of the robot so as to minimise the amount of piping carrying the catalysed product.
