Foam pipe extrusion line - 36D
Approximately 90% of the manufacturing cost is incurred on raw materials in the production of the plastic pipes. The 36D twin screw extruders with the foam core heads significantly contribute towards decrease in material costs while manufacturing the PVC foam core pipes. The foam core heads are developed by KraussMaffei Berstorff. In the process, this equipment assures high product quality. Extruders come into use as main extruders and also coextruders. The density of the pipe core layer is reduced up to 0.6Kg per cubic decimeter due to the process of foaming. In comparison to the compact PVC pipes, the entire pipe density can be reduced up to 30% due to the process. Depressurized operations like drainpipes are using more and more PVC foam core pipes.
