The CM420 series of hammer mills from SANDVIK, are used mostly for applications concerning coal power stations, coal crushing systems made of iron or steel, gypsum, limestone, minerals, and salts. The crushing process starts when after the material is fed, beater heads take hold of them and they are thrown against the grinding walls repeatedly. The CM420 optimizes the capabilities of the beater heads by placing grinding walls on both sides. The hydraulic opening device also makes the wear parts of the CM420 easily changed. It may operate in small and confined work areas. Also, they have a long operating life with high reduction ratios and is functional in a wide array of operations. Moreover, it may come with a v-belt drive or direct drive.
