Foundry sand mixer - BI
To improve the effectiveness of the mixer, binder injection has been implemented. To begin with, the components to be dosed are automatically weighed according to the chosen recipe, and are loaded into the injector. The binders are blown into the sand bed according to the mix cycle.The binders are distributed directly and evenly in the sand without any dust creation at all. The bentonite penetrates directly into the moistened sand. After it has been activated by the uptake of water, the bentonite surrounds the individual grains of sand.
New Webac Sandmixer mixers are in principle always supplied with binder injectors. But older mixers too can be fitted with binder injection to improve efficiency.
