It is important that the temperature of the cast iron be maintained when they are drained into the mixer or ladle. Hence it is important that the main and support troughs be covered with trough cover manipulators, these are also good for ensuring the effective aspiration of cast house. Hydraulic manipulators can be used to lift and move these removable covers. This gives access to top hole machines. These manipulators are very effective in covering the main trough and thus aiding in the safety of the maintenance personnel. The manipulators can captures gas and dust coming from the aspiration system belonging to the blast furnace cast house.
