The rotary unions from Duff-Norton are mechanical units that permit one or more fluids to be transported from an immovable part to a rotary part, while assuring a complete effective seal between the two parts. It can carry one or more volumes of fluid at the same time, with different temperatures and pressures. Also, it allows heat conductor fluids to be carried while compensating for the dilation of the unit. The pressure range that it can handle is from 0 to 700 bar, with 1,500 bar maximum for special products. Oscillatory motion and rotational movements are also permitted at a speed of almost 5,000 rpm. It can be bought in chemical nickel-treated steel, stainless steel, or in any other materials upon request.
