Cylinders with high load and high speed application often require added flow and speed control devices to stop the load. SMC's RHC series comes with a longer cushion design that is able to stop high speed or heavy loads while keeping the simplicity of a standard air cushion cylinder. The cushion design provides kinetic distance enabling the cylinder to absorb up to 23.8 ft-lb of energy while operating at reliable speeds of up to 118 in/sec. Even with improved design and performance, the cushion adjustment is simple, all that is required is the adjustment of the cushion needle valve.
