Up to 16 bar of operating overpressure can be handled and a pleated or smooth screen basket is used as a filtering element. There is an absolute filtration rating of 25 to 5,000 μm provided and optional features include magnetic elements, a plastic or rubber internal coating, and heating systems of steam, thermal oil, or electric types. Optical or electric differential pressure indicators are also available and can come mounted on the filter as well.
