The BDC-OF18H3 is a rugged, process gas, reciprocating compressor designed in accordance with API-618 for maximum durability. It represents the biggest Dresser-Rand reciprocating compressor when comparing power and load handling capabilities. It comes available in an even number of up to ten throws and is suited for multiple applications.
Design features extreme durability and easy maintenance. It is equipped with forged crankshaft features that include ground journals and crankpins in addition to integrally forged drive flange, rugged cast iron frame, precision main and crankpin bearings, pre-stressed frame.
In addition it features oil header cast into frame, hydraulically tensioned bolts on all bolt connections 1-5/8" and larger die-forged steel connecting rods with rifle-drilled passages as well as nodular iron flanged crosshead design with hydraulically tensioned piston rod.
