Nano-filtration plant

Nano-filtration plant
Austep The use of membrane filtration results in the separation of two streams, a concentrate and a permeate.
Usually the goal of membrane filtration is to obtain a better quality of the permeate or concentrate as much as possible, reducing the volume to maximum, the current that keeps the pollutant or the product recovery.
The fields of application are different in the case of treatment normally apply to downstream of a primary treatment and/or biological, and aim to provide high quality to the effluent.

AUSTEP always uses membrane technology for wastewater treatment, with applications ranging from the concentration of oil emulsions, the tertiary filtration.
The sizing and selection of membranes depends on the nature of water and effluent quality requirements. Some important things to consider are the variability of flow, the presence of pollutants that cause fouling chemical or biological (eg. high concentrations of calcium or fat), the presence of aggressive molecules that can damage the membrane.
Every aspect is carefully assessed in the development of the project and in preparing the treatment program.
