The RG 90 series AC voltage fans have an external rotor, shaded-pole motor and impedance overload protection. These units have both the scroll housing and impeller manufactured out of fibreglass-reinforced plastic and galvanized sheet steel housing base. They feature a centrifugal air flow direction (air outlet from the housing window) with clockwise rotor rotation, and an electrical connection to two single strands AWG 22, with bared and tin-plated strand ends. They weigh 560 g.
