The LA insulating and damping acoustic sheet is a flexible and heavy bituminous compound that is produced with special additives which provide it with the physical characteristics required for minimizing surface vibrations.These sheets adapt easily to all surfaces and are available in three different thicknesses and weights. They are simple to install using screws or staples and they are also available in self-adhesive variant. They replace the lead sheets which were used in the past and are illegal nowadays. They eliminate or reduce the resonance frequency problems associated with laminated plasterboards.
They can be used on ventilation tubes and ducts, fluid pipes and they are also ideal for designing multi-layer sandwich panels on floors and walls in order to improve low frequency insulation.
