Type 2 surge arrester / for photovoltaic applications / modular - 40 kA | PSM PV series
The CPT CIRPROTEC surge protection devices of the PSM PV series are made for discharging induced transient overvoltages (Type 2 / Class II), IEC 61643-1 compliant. They are mostly used as second stage protection of various distribution panels (Type 1), or as first stage surge defenses in residential and commercial applications without possibility of direct lightning strike. They feature a 40 kA discharge current with a 8/20 μs waveform, and are mainly used for 600 and 1,000 V DC networks, mostly for photovoltaic PV installation, EN 50539-11 compliant. They also contain durability indicators, a reversible chassis for allowing of cable entry, as well as mechanically polarized cartridges. They are available in models for rigid or flexible cables, or for fork type comb busbar.
