Cam switch / panel-mount - OSW series
Omega releases three different types of selector switches for isothermal, low resistance switching of temperature measurement circuits. OSW style switches have silver-plated contacts while the OSWG line switches are equipped with gold plated contacts. SW14 1/4 DIN switches have either silver plated or gold plated contacts. The switches are fitted in break-resistant Noryl case and offer two to thirty four positions. Temperature gradients between the input and output thermocouple wiring possible with isothermal design. This also helps in controlling errors caused while transmitting thermocouple signals due to the generation of a thermal emf at the wire junctions. The silver or gold plated contacts with its low resistance feature help in switching of temperature sensitive resistance devices, like RTDs and thermistors. Two pole SW and OSW series switches with . off. position helps in keeping spurious signals from registering on thermocouple instruments when left as an open circuit.
