MGE Static Transfer Switches or STS is unique because it is widely known to supply power to a range of equipment from 2 diverse and redundant sources. STS is highly remarkable because it can automatically transfer power to a stable alternate source and this can be done in less than 4ms under normal operating conditions. STS is also very flexible and can work consistently even under adverse conditions. On a 180 degrees out of phase, STS can still detect and transfer power that are up to 10 times faster than many other switches. This is what makes this technology unique.

The Series BYDS Bypass Damper Switch is utilized to control motorized bypass dampers. The system static pressure rises and falls as individual zone dampers open and close. Proper airflow and static pressure is maintained through the HVAC system by incorporating a bypass system with a floating type motorized damper and a static pressure control.

A typical on/off pressure switch is unable to operate in this application. This is because the high cycle rate eventually causes contact burnout. The BYDS static pressure control has a solid-state switching and timing circuit which enhances the operation. It improves the long-term liability in this demanding application.
