These affordable Watlow solid state relays (SSR) provide customers with similar advantages to those offered by solid state power controllers. These machines feature a special fast cycle input card which enables a solid state relay to operate from a standard 4-20mA instrumentation command signal. Using both zero-cross solid state relays and a fast cycle card helps control the temperature and provides a longer product life than slow cycle relays do. Using a time proportional cycle rate of 1⁄10 of a second, heater life is thus extended.
