OIM interface module / optical - 5 - 28 V

The optical isolator interface is intended for use between a sensor and a receiving electronic device. This delivers an ideal solution for systems struggling with grounding problems, noise and/or poor signal compatibility. Providing this kind of clean interface allows for the optical isolator to be used for eliminating ground loops and for the distribution of a sensor signal to a variety of input devices. It can also act as a repeater and help reduce signal degradation from a long cable run.

Differential or single-ended inputs are accepted by the interface and all standard operating voltages in the 5 to 28VDC range are accommodated. A maximum of eight optical isolator modules can be chained together to enable multiple outputs simultaneously to PLCs or controllers.
