The air-spaced achromatic laser triplet used for high power Nd:YAG/2nd harmonic use 532 & 1064 nm, is designed to provide similar a focal length of 1064nm and 532nm used in focusing high power. The Nd:YAG, that is, the second harmonic beam focusing in at the same point allows for corrections made for spherical aberration at both of the wavelengths, plus the coma at 1064nm double V-coat AR reduces loss.
