The custom biconvex lenses supplied by the Knight Optical offer a vast range of products available in a couple of options namely being uncoated or with anti-reflective coating. These biconvex lenses that are usually available in a wide range of diameters ranging from 3-250 mm,are characterised by a simple design with two convex spherical surfaces, both of which are equipped with the same radius of curvature. The custom range are produced with or without the coatings, depending upon the applications they are meant for that is either for visible applications through to NIR applications, or the lenses for telecoms IR applications which require the anti-reflective coating.The lenses can even be custom designed in accordance with the customer specifications in addition to the provision of an alternate edge stock lenses for a quick turnaround.
