Aspherical lens
Custom Aspheric lenses are designed for correcting spherical aberration in lasers and imaging. Spherical aberration happens when the converging light from a lens does not have the same center-point, distorting the image. Old spherical lenses cannot efficiently collimate light, since a small angle of incidence can result to spherical aberrations. Some components are needed to acquire preferred result. One component can efficiently focus or collimate divergent emissions because of the non-sphere shape of the surface of the lens. This replaces a multi-lens system with a single aspheric lens.
