The Zoom 6000 series of body tubes from Navitar include a basic core zoom material and may work with a setup to manage the mechanical setups used in a zooming system. This may work with a zoom or non-zoom configuration and can use an optional manual zoom setup to allow the user to manually adjust the zoom and focus on a unit. This is to change the field of view and to get a better sense of focus ready if the sample in the imaging system is changing its size.Apertures may also be adjusted by allowing different amounts of light to flow within a system without having to adjust the intensity of the light source. This can also enhance the depth of the field if it is used right.
Detents may be added to create stops in a zoom range. This is to create pre-set stops at many zoom scale points from 1X to 4X.
Fine focus is used to get a 3mm or 12mm zoom distance set up on an object.
