The V112-3.3 MW™ IEC IB is a high-wind turbine with a high capacity factor.
It's design is close to those of other 3 MW turbines and features efficient use of its grid compatibility and presents an optimal solution for sites involving MW constraints. When faced with medium wind sites the V112-3.3 MW™ IEC IIA and V117-3.3 MW™ IEC IIA present an excellent solution.
In addition, combining these two provides a more efficient site layout as well as significant production increase. Since 3 MW platform turbines have similar electrical properties, sound emissions and nacelle design, they are easily mixed on constrained sites.
The V112-3.3 MW™ enables combination with the Vestas De-Icing System to operate in cold conditions.
