Open loop transformer / current / toroidal - DER3
The torodial transducer series D should be used in combination with earth differential relays DER3, as it allows the unit to detect and locate homopolar/differential current. These unit is equipped with normal winding leaking current measurements, in addition to a winding test. Buyers should note that the transducers must be installed upstream of the line or load to ensure that they are protected and monitored. If done correctly, all conductors, phase and neutral of single-phase or three-phase will be forced to pass through the transducer, and Dossena employs a special magnetic alloy so that the ferromagnetic core ensures wide magnetic quality whilst also detect the most minute current values.
