The Schurter EMV Impulse transformers are generally utilized in ignition circuits with Thyristors, Triacs, power transistors and IGBT's, as well as for galvanic separation of drive- and power-circuit. The IGBT tool also presents DC/DC converters and line coupling transformers in top speed data broadcast. Furthermore, they have tiny coupling capacitances between primary and secondary windings with optimum isolation rating of >3.2 kVAC or up to 500 V which bound fleeting feedback from the power supply area towards the control electronics. The distinct fractional discharge voltage of these transformers ensures a long-lasting functional life.

Schurter IL pulse transformers for THT mounting with a cost-optimized design is used in galvanic separation of drive- and power-circuits, ignition circuits with Thyristors, Triacs, power transistors and IGBT's, DC/DC converters, and line coupling transformers.

IL transformers have a high insulation rating (>2.2 kVAC) between the primary and the secondary windings. The transient feedback from the power supply side to the control electronics is limited using small coupling capacitances between primary/secondary windings. An unlimited serviceable live is guaranteed thanks to the defined partial discharge voltage.
