Containing a solid metal tab with plastic insulation on the crimp end is the AMP PIDG FASTOn tabs. Its metal support sleeve under the insulation crimps tightly onto the wire insulation offers first-rate performance in high vibration areas. The individual wire strands of the lead are curled in the wire barrel of the terminal to provide an excellent connection for both mechanical and electrical applications. To secure the crimped connection from shorting adjacent electrical sources and to provide visual identification of the wire sizes, color-coded insulation is used.
