Fiber optic cable / loose tube / for outdoor applications - ALTOS® Lite™ series
The ALTOS Lite gel-free cables are single-armored, single-jacket models. Offered by Corning Cable Systems, these feature a loose tube design to provide stable and reliable transmission parameters for a range of data, voice, video and imaging applications. They are ideal for campus backbones in direct-buried installation projects. The cables are capable of providing high-fiber density within given cable diameters while simultaneously allowing flexibility to suit various system configurations. A high-strength ripcord and single-armored construction provide additional rodent and crush protection. Since the cables are gel-free, they are fully water-blocked. Water-swellable and craft-friendly materials used in the design make cable access simple. No clean-up is required. The craft-friendly buffer tubes are also flexible when it comes to routing in closures. Fibers are isolated from the installation thanks to the loose tube and SZ-stranded design. The jackets feature medium-density polyethylene that is durable and easy to strip.
