Vane proximity sensor
Slotted proximity sensors comprise of a two coil system sensing across the slot opening. Upon insertion of a metal piece into the slot sensor, the inductive coupling between coils reduces, based on the depth of the target metal. Once this coupling falls below the mark, the proximity switch gets activated.Owing to the nature of the sensor design, such sort of proximity switch is unaffacted by the metal characteristics and are less sensitive to target position changes in the direction of the core axis.
