Stainless steel proximity switch
Some applications require particularly robust sensors and the rugged 'Metal Face' sensors are ideal for tough applications. These durable sensors are enclosed in stainless steel. The sensor is often exposed to abrasion, target impact and the effects of aggressive fluids and solvents bu applications such as metal processing or machine tools.Designed by Pepperl+Fuchs, the sensors enclosed in stainless steel can have an extended service life and reduced down time for these applications, making them much more cost-effective.
Two versions of the 'Metal Face' product series (NMB...) are available. The (FE) version is used to detect ferrous metals and the (NFE) version is used to detect non-ferrous metals.
