The two read head styles, the WCS2A and WCS3A have a lot of common features in terms of technology. They have the same interface formats that is RS-485 and SSI and are virtually identical 0.833mm for the WCS2A vs. 0.8mm for the WCS3A). However there is some difference when it comes to accessory packages and mechanical structure which make them well- suited for specific applications.

Both the WCS2A and WCS3A have a narrow 10mm slot width. The less amount of distance between the emitter and the receiver LEDs result in high benefits, which makes it the perfect solution for murky surroundings such as galvanizing facilities, foundries and steel mills.

Additionally, an optional trolley and rail system in the WCS2A is beneficial for operations where you cannot avoid the imprecise mechanical linkages and vibrations. The WCS3A features a considerably large 25mm slot width and is perfect for monitoring overhead or floor-based operations.
