The SKF Belt Alignment tools, as the name implies, enables the proper alignment of pulleys and sprockets on the side face. The unit is magnetized allowing the easy attachment of almost any belt pulley and chain sprocket either to the inside or outside face. Utilizing high-tech lasers projected from a transmitter unit to the reflector unit that is mount on the pulley, which shows if there is any offset or vertical or horizontal misalignment.

The TKBA 10/20 uses G clamp for easy installation on aluminium pulleys & sprockets and have a maximum distance of 3-6m. It can be used to most V belts, banded belts, ribbed belts and most other belts as well as chain sprockets.

The SKF TKBA 40 belt alignment tool aligns V-belt pulleys in the grooves. The TKBA 40 is fitted into the grooves of the pulley with V guides and powerful magnets.The powerful magnets provides fast and easy attachment. The belt alignment tool with only two two components, a laser emitting unit and a receiver unit, offers easy and fast attachment. The receiver unit with three dimensional target area easily detects misalignment and nature, whether it is horizontal, vertical, parallel or a combination of all three.

Three-dimensional target area facilitates simultaneous adjustment of tension and alignment and simplifies the alignment process. The V-guides enables alignment of wide range of V-belt pulleys and easily aligns grooves of a V-belt pulley rather than its face for optimal alignment of pulleys of unequal width or with dissimilar faces. The maximum 6 m (20 ft) operating distance accommodates several applications.

Laser belt-drive alignment tool - LASER AT-1

The Laser AT-1 is Gates' newest laser alignment device. It prevents noise, pulley wear and vibrations amongst other problems from occurring as a result of pulleys not being aligned, thus keeping downtime from being a threat.

The AT-1 is faster than using a straight edge on the pulleys. The process of measuring the level is easy as a laser alignment device can be mounted in seconds and will project a line to show if misalignment is a problem.

This will operate for pulleys of 60mm or greater in diameter and can be mounted onto non-magnetic pulleys too with a double-sided adhesive tape for machines that have been mounted either horizontally or vertically.
