Double beam spectrophotometer / visible / UV - U-2900/2910
Spectrophotometer is simpler to use and higher in dependability due to mounting of a large-size color LCD. It has a high resolution which satisfies European Pharmacopoeia (spectral bandpass: 1.5nm). Trace-amount measurement in biotechnological field can be carried out using optional 50, 25 and 5micro cells.It features Stable optics owing to the double beam, in which the energy of the light source is divided into two using a half mirror, so that one passes through the reference side and the other through the sample side. This is not possible with a single beam design.
Photometry is carried out based on the fact that the reference-side energy is also incident on a detector. Hence, an energy change in the light source can be compensated to ensure stable measurement for a long time.
With the incorporation of diffraction grating, the optics of this instrument adopts the Seya-Namioka monochromator.
