The Cary 5000 UV-Vis-NIR is a spectrophotometer manufactured by Agilent Technologies. It is equipped with a Windows based software called Cary winUV, that provides convenience to analyze and control a wide array of optional enhancements. Its framework comprises a large sample compartment that can be expanded to hold large accessories and combined spheres for spectral and diffuse reflectance. It also has the ability to extend the range of it's NIR to 3300 nm by utilizing a PbSmart detector from 175 up to 3300 nm range.
