Automated Precision Inc. (API) introduces to you the award-winning XD™ Laser. It is a multi-dimensional laser measurement system. It measures linear, angular, straightness and roll errors simultaneously. It is fast and takes accurate measurement in about 80% less downtime. For example a complete measurement of a 1 meter volume machine is accomplished in 3 to 4 hours instead of 3 days. Thus it will help you to increase your manufacture efficiency.

This machine is fully wireless. Ethernet connectivity is available in 1, 3, 5 and 6 Degree of Freedom configurations. The 6 dimensional XD laser provides simultaneous measurement of all axis errors from a single setup. The system is also capable of evaluating velocity, acceleration, parallelism, squareness and flatness. All these features makes the XD Laser different from others.

It has many other features like integrated control box into laser head for portability. Real time weather station compensation. There is a humidity sensor available too. It has a compact laser head with a base plate. You can set-up a single optic squareness along the feature of quick alignment fixtures.

The VFI is an interferometric inspection system specifically designed for checking the surface quality and flatness of your cleaved, polished or lensed fibers. The VFI interferometer has proved itself in Research, Production and QA over and over and the feedback we get from users indicates that they value these features -

1) Superb optical quality - the VFI will give you high quality images of the ends of optical fibers to enable you to estimate their quality and flatness. You can see for yourself some interferograms taken using the system. Click on the image to the right to see more pictures taken using the VFI. Using a front panel switch you can select the two modes of operation inspect and fringe - so you can check the flatness and the end quality of your cleaved, polished or lensed fiber end with one fiber insertion. This means reduced testing time.

We pride ourselves on the crisp end-face images which show every defect and on the high contrast fringe patterns which make it easy to estimate end angles.
