Seismic sensor - A/1600 and A/1800

As part of their ongoing new product launches DJB Instruments UK Ltd have released a new range of Seismic Accelerometers with Integrated electronics (IEPE) or Charge technology. The accelerometers utilise the DJB standard ceramic sensor providing high levels of stability and low frequency performance ideal for seismic applications.
The A/1600 and A/1800 IEPE accelerometers are the newest of the range, having undergone field testing and use for over a year to ensure they meet the high quality and reliability standards demanded by DJB Instruments UK Ltd and its customers.
Available with outputs ranging from 100mV/g, 316mV/g, 500mV/g up to 1000mV/g the accelerometers are also available with a range of connectors depending on the application. Hermetically sealed with welded construction they are manufactured in stainless steel as standard, but they can also be supplied in a titanium case.
DJB also manufacture all associated instrumentation and cabling that will be required for seismic applications, this includes amplifiers that can increase outputs up to 10V/g.
Neill Ovenden, DJBs General Manager said of the launch These accelerometers are aimed at Seismic applications, however, they can clearly also be used in other low frequency applications. Offering stable measurement down to 0.5Hz we have customers that use them in very novel applications in the rail industry.

Some common applications include: structural analysis, geophysics, geothermal development, large civil structures, such as buildings and bridges and mine safety.

Seismic sensor - 5 000 mV/g, 1 g, 0.08 - 1 000 Hz | 3191A

The Dytran model 3191A is an IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer. This device features a built in Faraday shield that is able to provide immunity against electrostatic noise. It also offers low frequency response of 0.08 Hz. It is capable of resolving vibrations as low as 0.000001 g's RMS. And it is available with a sensitivity of 5 V/g. The device features an annular shear ceramic sensing element. This element is encased in robust stainless steel housing. The housing itself has a 2-pin MIL-C-5015 axial connector and 1/4-28 mounting hole. The Dytran model 3191A is compatible with the Dytran model 6194 Immersion Proof sealing boot. The boot can be used with this device to allow the sensors to remain fully functional in an IP65 environment. The sensors are hermetically sealed and thus are able to provide superior performance high humidity and dirty environments. The device is case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.

Structural and seismic vibratory monitoring system / low-frequency - PCH 1026

The PCH 1026 comprises of a test function which can be used to test both the internal sensors (accelerometers) as well as the outputs of the monitor. It reports to any connected controller by means of the System Failure relay and the serial port. Details concerning the cause of the System Failure can be found using the comprehensive information list in the supplied PC program. The test can also be performed automatically. In the PC program you can set how often the test should be performed. E.g. once pr. day or week, etc. In addition, The said product provides far more precise electronically surveillance of the wind turbine than today's existing mechanical and electronic detectors, thus resulting in fewer faulty shutdowns and a more economical power production.
