Ultrasonic NDT inspection device for pipes - WeldROVER™
The WeldRover is a very simple one-axis encoded scanner that gives the user with completely automated and mechanized data acquisition. It is designed in such a way that performs fast and efficient array inspections on vessel girth welds as well as ferromagnetic piping with reduced setup time and training. By configuring this scanner up to six probes for phased array, TOFD and UT inspection, one can achieve desired results. It can support up to 6 TOFD probes along with phased array or pulse-echo inspection. It provides constant scanning with speed control for smooth data acquisition at different speeds. The motion controller allows 10 different scan speeds that range from 5mm/s to 50mm/s. The remote control is used to jog as well as constant motion in both directions. OmniScan or TomoScan FOCUS LT 1 instrumentation can generate data acquisition within less than 5 min of configuration. The four industrial magnetic wheels are used with ferromagnetic piping.
