Olympus's Automated Ultrasonic Testing (or simply AUT) PV Solutions was designed and developed to offer weld inspection (both small and large in diameter) based to code, all the while being inexpensive. They have been designed to be efficiently portable, and robust, capable of being placed onto any type of work environment. They feature 100 percent volumetric weld inclusion functions, wall thickness examination capabilities (ranging from a minimum of 8 millimeters, to a maximum of 300 millimeters), circumferential weld, butt weld, one-sided access, long seam, and other standard weld profile flexibility and adjust-ability capacities, film archiving minimization and digital archiving replacement for more efficient information inspection components, a more successful probability of detection (POD for short; in comparison with radiography), and many more.
