Flaw detector / ultrasonic / rail-mounted - Railscan 125R
The Railscan 125R has been designed especially for rail testing, which presents exacting challenges for NDT and its operators. To comply with Network Rail (UK) procedure and approval, it has narrow band amplifiers of 2 and 5 MHz, G1 +ve trigger and G2 -ve trigger using a 0.6 second delay for monitoring the rail bottom depth. It uses the latest Li-Ion technology for a long battery life of 10-16 hours, depending on the brightness, with a fast recharge time of 3-4 hours.
It is compatible with a Sperry walking stick and others, such as NRS bi-directional walking stick. For high speed multiplexing it has a single-shot PRF, as well as RS232 and USB outputs to support custom software systems, such as the Sperry palmtop with GPS. Living up to Sonatest's reputation, it has a sturdy design, being constructed of Xenoy plastics with IP67 sealing. It offers proven reliability in flaw detection, enabling the user to minimize costly downtime.
