Hans Schmidt & Co Used to determine winding density of closely wound bobbins of synthetic and finished fibers and filaments, the Textile hardness tester (durometer) has a measuring force in line with shore A regulations. Its ball diameter is 2.5 / 5 / 10 mm and the ball shaped indentor prevents damage to bobbins. The unit has a spring loaded outer ring which assures a constant measuring pressure eliminating false readings which due to the difference between operators. Adjustable minimum/maximum indicator marks highlight the working range of the textile durometer. It has a flat working face for bobbins with diameters of over 400 mm; and slightly curved working for bobbins with diameter less than 400 mm.
