Long-stroke extensometer - 100S

Long-stroke extensometer - 100S
Tinius Olsen The dual purpose extensometer Tinius Olsen 100 S measures E modulus and offset yield stress on high modulus materials. It also measures elongations up to the break point. It is used to test polycarbonates, where the E modulus has to be measured only using a high resolution system. A secondary system is what is needed to measure elongation to the break point that can be as high as a 200% strain. The 100 S extensometer suits polyurethane, polyethylene, glass reinforced plastics and aluminum alloys. A low tracking force is what is needed to test sensitive materials and a robust construction is needed to withstand the release force that comes out when the specimen breaks. And both these features are what the model 100 S offers.
