This innovative design provides a very stiff module body which results in improved performance and ruggedness over existing units. To keep our extensometers as light as possible, even the module cover is used as an integral stressed member. As an added bonus, our design in more compact and will more easily fit into the tight space of your environmental chamber. It is also lighter to reduce the influence of the extensometer's weight on the specimen under test.
All model EAA extensometers feature a full, strain gauge bridge design and are compatible with most any brand test equipment. This model can be configured for a single, averaged axial strain signal or for two independent axial strain signals. We can install the proper connectors to interface to most any electronics including Instron, ADMET, and MTS. If your test frame or set-up does not have the required strain signal conditioner, we can supply stand-alone electronics calibrated with your extensometer.
