Extensometer - max. 20 in | 3800 series

Extensometer - max. 20 in | 3800 series
Epsilon Technology The Model 3800 from Epsilon consist of elongation extensometers. They are suitable for plastics, rubber and elastomer testing. The extensometers are developed with long measuring ranges.

Their original design enables testing to failure, and minimizes interaction with the sample. The central body of the unit stays immobile during the testing, held in position by the combined versatile magnetic base.

These models apply sufficient precision and low friction potentiometers. These result in a broad range of factory selectable outputs. The extensometers are operated by an excitation voltage, and has its output proportional to the input.

They can be offered with high level outputs with approximately 2-8 VDC, or ones that imitate strain-gaged devices (2-4 mV/V). When configured to imitate strain-gaged extensometers, the unit can be utilized with nearly any signal conditioning electronics, developed for strain gaged sensors.
