Bypass filter / for liquids - max. 35 l | BPL
The RMF Systems BPL1A is the most commonly used low pressure Bypass filter. It is suited for diesel engines with oil sumps of up to 35 liter. The filter unit consists of a single cylindrical filter housing with element and mounting bracket.The base of the filter incorporates the inlet (1/4" BSP female) and outlet (1/4" BSP female) ports. The outlet port has an internal orifice of 1,5 mm to prevent excessive oil flow bleeding from the main lube system and causing lubrication problems.
Oil supply for the filter is normally taken (as a by-pass connection) from the engine oil pressure sensor. The return oil is fed back (pressureless) to the sump.
The maximum supply pressure to the low presure By-pass filter may never exceed 6 bar.
