For ultimate containment of all API and potent compounds, every element and every interface must be in perfect condition. The containment capability of gloves is therefore as crucial as any other part of the integrated system, and a simple, accessible means of checking interface integrity is critical. Telstar ACE offers custom-built testing systems to enable fast, easy measurement of glove containment efficiency. The Telstar ACE Glove Tester is a low cost manually operated single port testing device designed to allow both in situ and offline testing. Constructed of acetyl or 316L stainless steel, the device uses air pressure to check glove integrity. It can be designed to suit all types of Telstar ACE glove ports as well as other port brands. The tester inflates the glove at +500Pa pressure for a period of at least five minutes. A leak is indicated by a drop in the pressure reading of the display gauge. An optional colour indicator gives an instant pass/fail assessment.
