The KITE EMCCD digital camera, model KI247-CL uses a peltier cooled Texas Instruments' 640 x 480 Interline Transfer Impactron which provides QE up to 53%, and combines speed, high sensitivity and resolution. Using a 16 bit A/D converter, it offers standard CameraLink output and outstanding low light applications performance such as astronomy, electrophoresis, X-ray, hyperspectral and fluorescence imaging. It is fully compatible with the high performance, user friendly image analysis software XCAP from EPIX, which allows ease of task completion, and Micro-Manager, which provides a universal, flexible and free platform for automated microscopy. ImageJ and mMangaer provide easy and high quality microscopic management and image processing package of use standards equal to commercial software.
