PEPPERL & FUCHS The measuring principle of this device is a fairly simple one. Since the product is made based on the electromagnetic pulse reflection, this has been redirected on a sensor rod, being reflected by a filling material. It is also useful to know that the sensor comes with various integrated electronics that help determine the filling state.

Once the device sends out its electromagnetic pulse, the pulse is then reflected onto the filling material and received once more. The pulse's echo time is directly proportional to the distance it stands from the medium surface. Finally, the measurement procedure is very accurate and is independent of factors such as pressure, vapor, dust, foam and temperature.
