Cable and phase identification system for live cables - LCI

Cable and phase identification system for live cables - LCI
ndb Technologies The mode of operation for this LCI-E transmitter is through a precious connection for the secondary side of a distribution transformer. This helps identify the medium-voltage distribution cable, which is located anywhere between the transformer and its source. Note that the LCI can be used on isolated distribution cables as well, while the equipment helps identifying the right cable before cutting off the voltage, prior to an intervention, which helps save money and time.

Helping in identifying a three-phase circuit by the identification of one of its conductors is a major advantage, while the LCI is comprised of two main parts. First, a transmitter drains electric current at a specific frequency, with the detection being possible on high-load cables. A detector is responsible for identifying the current that has been drained by the transmitter, using a magnetic sensor placed at the enclosure's tip.
