The CPA is manufactured by Environment S.A., and is a continuous particulate analyzer which offers simultaneous and steady data in terms of concentration, size, and the nature of inhalable elements including TSP, PM10, PM2.5, and PM 1. It is also ideal for estimating the nature of particulates including salts, carbons, minerals, and water droplets.

The gauging of the size is displayed in μm, and the quantity is displayed in number/cm3. It calculates data in real time, and displays the mass concentration in μg/m3. The CPA has been developed in cooperation with the Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of the Environment and Space of the French National Centre for Scientific Research.
